Challenges

we are going to a shindig on saturday for B's 20th anniversary at work (yeah, i know!). they are having a luncheon cruise around Lake Michigan so, i got a mani, pedi, eyebrow wax and haircut, all after work. i would have done it friday, except i moved the laser appointment i had for saturday to friday. i'm just surprised at how much i accomplished in three and a half hours after work.

i had not worked on any pages for a while now and, frankly, i've missed it. so, i decided to check out some of the challenge sites that i frequent and submit some entries. last night, i worked on the Dreamgirls challenge "Because I am a Queen", which is based on the lyrics of the song "Video" by India Arie. i have only submitted an entry once before (a while back) to another site, so i kinda consider this my first entry.

The Last 15 Minutes of July

can't believe we are going into August, the year is flying by.

went to play Top Golf today after work with 4 of my coworkers and enjoyed it very much, had a hard time trying to hit the ball (never even held a golf club in my life) but it is something i definitively would like to try again.

i've also been checking different kit clubs (again) but there are so many out there it is so hard to decide (again). i have a list of about 60, maybe more, but there are about 6 to 8 that i seem to like the most. my stash is so huge though that i could open my own store, i really should just try to use some of the stuff i already have. but, oh, the thought of that package waiting for me by the door, filled with beautiful papers and fun embellishments makes me oh so happy.

YAY!!!

the shop is up and running and i had my first sale! how exciting! lots of work though, creating, taking pics, listing but i am sure it'll get easier and faster - i've been challenged with the pictures.

saw The Dark Knight on sunday, AWESOME! planning to see X Files next, i've heard a lot of good things about it.

Artfully Crafted life...

i had been wanting to do my first post for a while, however, since the birth of this blog was due to my new venture on etsy, i was waiting till the shop was up and running but i was reminded by the Master Artist himself of how he Artfully Crafted my life and this, i must write about...

after a very challenging day at work, i decided to window shop a little on the net and, while checking real estate listings for properties in México on a classifieds site, i found the listing for my best friend's house. there were two phone numbers listed and an email address, which is how i realized it was her home i was reading about. i found her at the first number and it was, again, as if no time had passed. this is the second thing within this week that makes me think my life is coming full circle.

on another note, we have been working hard, not only creating but taking pics, setting up, planning, etc. to open the shop, which i thought i could do this weekend. unfortunately, i am not as ready as i want to be, so it will have to wait another week, maybe two. i want everything to be professional.
